From the Adams County Press, Saturday April 21, 1903, Page 4 Column 3
Peter O Arvold, an old-time settler, and prominent well-to-do farmer of the town of Strongs Prairie, died at his home in that town on Monday last. He was highly respected by his neighbors and fellow townsmen, and for several years held the office of Justice of the Peace, and other official positions. He had been sick for a long time and during all his illness received the assidious care of a loving and devoted wife and affectionate children. The funeral was on Wednesday and was attended by a large number of his neighbors and townspeople and by several from Friendship. Fifty-six carriages formed the procession from the home to the grave. He leaves a widow and several children. |
