Another Old Settler Gone James Bonnett died at his home at Little Lake Thursday night, February 9, 1899. Mr Bonnett was born at Lincolnshire, England July 24, 1819. He was married to Miss Sarah Taylor in 1840, and in 1845 they came to America. Mr Bonnett became a decided Christian in 1891, and joined the church at Davis Corners. By his request, Rev. Stevenson preached the funeral sermon on Sunday afternoon at the Davis Corners church, when the church was crowded with his many friends and neighbors who had come to pay their last tribute of respect to an old settler, good citizen and neighbor. |
