This picture shows the inside of the Fourtown Cheese Factory. This factory
was located on what is now known as 6th Ave, between Hillsdale & Prairie Farm.
Many farmers in the area, including Otto & Cora Carr (grandparents of submitter
of this photo), hauled milk daily to this factory. The original owners name is
unknown (suspect it to be either Stolphe or Schoepher). The Simon family owned
this factory from about 1948. If anyone knows the name of the original owner,
please let us know!
