1947 Andrew Lauer Dies Suddenly Andrew Lauer passed away very suddenly at his home, west of this city on highway 29, about 9:00 o' clock Tuesday morning at the age of 59 years. He was born in the Stanley Country, the son of John and Mary Pinnas Lauer, on February 15, 1888. He was a barber in this city for about 40 years and about 20 years ago purchased the farm, where they resided. He was married to Miss Bertha Knar, and eight children were born to this union. One son, Clarence, passed away at the age of 16 years and twins passed away in infancy. Surviving are his widow and five children: Leonard of the Stanley Country, Herman of Hannibal, Lillian (Mrs. Frank Luhm, Jr.) of Eau Claire, Robert at home, and James in the Navy. Nine grandchildren also survive, also four brothers and one sister, Lucy (Mrs. Mike McGann) of Hollanddale, Peter of Chippewa Falls, Jake of Idaho, John of Stanley and Math. of the Stanley Country. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) morning at 9:30 at St. Ann's Church, Rev. Paul Pitzenberger officiating. Contributed by Monica Johnson
