Mary Vanderloop Rites on Friday

Mrs. Mary Vanderloop, one of the oldest residents of the Stanley area, died on Tuesday morning at Victory Memorial hospital following a lingering illiness. Funeral services will be held for her on Friday morning, 9:00, at St. Anne's Catholic church, the Rev. Edmund Cramer officiatinig, and burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers.

The deceased was born on September 8, 1872, the daughter of Henry and Catherine Huls, in Hollandtown, Wis. She was married on October 4, 1892, to Henry Vanderloop at Hollandtown where they resided until 1898 when they moved to a farm in the town of Worden where she has since resided. She was a member of St. Anne's church and of St. Anne's Christian Mother's Society.

Mr. Vanderloop preceded her in death in 1939, three children died in infancy, and a son, Raymond, was killed in action in Italy during World War II.

Survivors included two sons: Slyvester at home and Wilfred of Fredonia; three daughters: Mrs. Arthur (Agnes) Jacques of Thorp, and Mrs. Henry ( Rose) Frese of Thorp, and Mrs. Ray (Matilda) Brown of Cedarburg; also one sister, Mrs. Mattie Haas of Stanley, 37 grandchildren, and 66 great grandchildren.
