Samuel "Sammy" Ronald Blodgett

Blodgett, Samuel "Sammy" Ronald, died November 30, 2008. He was born in Owen, Wisconsin on January 14, 1934 to Marshall and Jackie Blodgett and was the fifth of eight children. His family moved to Huntington Beach in 1934 where Sammy has remained until his death.

Sammy is survived by his wife, Jeanette of 50 years; daughters Deana Riley, Sammie Dee Frazier, Ronye Blodgett and one son, Samuel D. Blodgett. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and three brothers.

Sammy worked for Southern California Edison company for 34 years as a mechanic. he was a life long supporter of the Huntington Beach High School Oiliers where he graduated in 1952. He was an avid hot Rod enthusiast and wonded two classic cars.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly by his family and all who knew him.

Memorial services were held at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church on December 4, 2008.
