Driessen Rites Held Monday At St. Mary's

Funeral services for Mrs. Henry Driessen 64, were held Monday morning at St. Mary's church, the Reverend Ralph Geissler officiating.

Mrs. Dreissen died Thursday at St. Joseph's Hospital Chippewa Falls, after a short illness.

She was born Nov. 4, 1884, the daughter of the late August and Anna Henke, at Goodhue, Minn. Her early life was spent in Minnesota.

Mrs. Driessen, the former Anna Henke, and Henry Driessen were married at Thorp Oct. 25, 1904. They have lived on the Driessen farm which is about five miles south west of Stanley since their marriage.

During that time Mrs. Driessen made many friends in her neighborhood and the community. she was a charter member of the County Line Woman's Club and had been active in the work of the club. She was devout member of the St. Mary's Church and a member of of St. Mary's Guild.

Through the years her home has been a center of family life for her children and their children.

Surviving are her husband and three daughters: Mrs. Victor (Minnie) Gourdoux and Mrs. Henry (Viola) Gygi of Holcombe and Mrs. Milton (Dorothy) Stair of Klamath Falls, Ore. and six grandchildren.

Her parents and two brothers, Joseph and William, preceded her in death.

Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were: Oscar Boie, Herman Licht, Charles Anderson, Frank Krueger, Walter Auman, Herman Fellman.

Among the relatives and friends attending the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Emil Henke and children, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Henke, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Verkuillen, Fred Driessen and sons, Thorp; Mrs. Beulah Henke, Mrs. John Friesenger and Peter, LaCrosse; Mr. and Mrs. August Zorn, New Holstein; Mrs. Martha Reuter and son Peter, Mr. and Mrs. Philip Arendt, Nazappa, Minn.; Miss Anna Reuter, Janesville, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. John Nardinger, Mrs. john Zorn, Joe Zorn, Mr. and Mrs.Vernon Dahling, Belchester,; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Graham and Sharon, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weix and Marlene and Ronald, Abbotsford; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Haas and son, Cadott; Joe Dahlvig, Ladysmith; Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Zorn, Catawba; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Driessen, Mr. and Mrs. George VanDeyacht, Hollandtown; Ed Driessen, Kaukauna; Mr. and Mrs. Mike Brooks, Dundas; Susan Hermansen, Little Chute; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Theirl, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. MArtin Gourdoux, and Mr. and Mrs. Armond Gygi, Holcombe.
