Mrs. August Voelker Last rites for Mrs. August Voelker, 75, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Church of Christ at Colby. The Rev. Victor Grosshuesch officiated and burial was in Colby Cemetery. Mrs. Voelker died last Sunday at an Arpin nursing home. Pallbearers, all grandson,s were Robert, John, Richard, and Stanley Voelker, Wayne Flick and Max Ramaker. Flower girls were Sandra, Karen and Alice Voelker, Ellen and Marie Flick and Sandra Ramaker. The former Anna Koeser, Mrs. Voelker was born in Sheboygan County on July 1, 1883, a daughter of the late Louis and Caroline Duebner Koeser. She was married April 8, 1901, in Manitowoc County. The couple lived in Manitowoc in seven years and then moved to a farm west of Colby where they lived until retired and moved to the city of Colby. Survivors in addition to her husband, are four sons, Elmer of Woodruff, Oscar of Colby, Marvin of Pittsville, Roland of Abbotsford; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Norma) Flick of Colby; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister Mrs. Jennie Schaar, and four brothers, Emil, John, Louis and Charlie. A daughter, Caroline, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
