Historical Company, Chicago, 1880, page 1005 L. JONES, was born in Wales May 29, 1825; came to America in 1831; lived in Massachusetts; prior to coming to Wisconsin he lived in Nova Scotia. Was married at Winchendon, Mass., in November 1852, to Caroline A. HALL, a native of Orford, N.H.; she died in August 1865, leaving three children - Carrie Eva, Jennie and Hattie. Mr. J. came to Madison April 10, 1854, and has been engaged in the tailoring business here ever since, except from the fall of 1865 to the spring of 1868. Married his present wife in Philadelphia; her maiden name was Antoinette MORGAN; his wife and oldest daughter are members of the Congregational Church; Mr. JONES has worked at the tailor's trade since 1844.
