As 1853 saw the formation of Jackson County, 1860 is the first federal census available for the area. For Federal Census information prior to 1860, please go to Crawford County. As with everything else, the volunteers have taken care to transcribe these records accurately, but there is the possibility of error, so please confirm the information given here through your own research.
