Mrs Bertha Langholff

   Mrs Bertha Langholff, born March 15 1863, of 508 S Main St Jefferson, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs William Kreuger at 716 Charles St, Fort Atkinson, Friday Aug 10 at 12 p.m. Death was caused by a stroke that Mrs Langholff suffered last Sunday.

   Mrs Langholff, 88, was brought to this counrty from Germany at the age of 3 months and had resided in Jefferson ever since. She married Fred G Langholff, of Jefferson on March 26 1885. Mr Langholff died March 25 1940.

   Survivors are two daughters, Mrs William Knoerr, Jefferson, and Mrs William Kreuger, Fort Atkinson, nine grandchildren and one great granddaughter.

   One son, one daughter, one brother and four sisters preceded her in death.

   The funeral was held Monday, Aug 13, at 2 p.m. at St John's Lutheran Church. The officiating minister was Reverend Richard Mueller.

   The body was taken to the church at 12:30 Monday to lie in state. Internment was in the Union Cemetery
