Caroline Federicka Maria  Langholff

Mrs Caroline Langholff
Mrs Caroline Langholff was born in Germany February 22 1848, and departed from this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs Fred Wandschneider, Dempster St, this city, Saturday May 15th, at 2:00 p.m., aged 67 years, 2 months and 23 days. When a child she came to this country with her parents near Cold Spring. Here she was married to Gustave Langholff in 1866. To them were born six children, three of whom died in infancy. Those survive are Mrs Henry Hoffman, Fred Langholff and Mrs Fred Wandschneider, all of Fort Atkinson. Also one sister, Mrs Minnie Hensey of Fort Atkinson and seven grandchildren. In 1895 Mr Langholff passed to his reward and since then deceased has made her home with her daughter, Mrs Fred Wandschneider.
Mrs Langholff was taken sick about a month ago and never recovered her strength. For a week prior to her death she suffered a great deal, but was in constant attendance upon her and left nothing to make her last days comfortable.
Deceased was widely known and loved and her passing will cause a feeling of regret to many. She was a member of the St Paul's Lutheran Church and in this faith she remained true to the end. The funeral services were held from the home to Mrs Fred Wandschneider Tuesday, May 18th, at 1:30 p.m. and at the St Pauls Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m., Rev A. F. Nicolaus conducted the service. The funeral was largely attended and there were many flowers, sent by relatives and friends. Internment was made in Evergreen Cemetery.

Caroline passed away May 15 1915 and this obituary is from an unknown Jefferson Co Newspaper
