Lima Center - Chester Otto Berg, 81, Berg Rd, Rt 1 Whitewater, died Thursday, Nov 26, in Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital.

  Born in Lima Twp June 6 1906, the son of Otto J and Mary Langholff Berg, he married Irene Sievert on June 6 1931, in Fort Atkinson.

  Mr Berg farmed on the family homestead in Lima Twp before retiring in 1971. he was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Whitewater, and served on the Whitewater School Board.

  Surviving are his wife; three sons, Rod, Whitewater, Allan, Plymouth Minnesota, and William, LaCrosse; a daughter, Mrs Gordan ( Audrey) Kaasa, Phoenix, Ariz; and 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the First English Lutheran Church, Whitewater, with the Rev, Jerald Wendt officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson. Friends may call at Skindingsrude Funeral Home, Whitewater, frome 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the church.
