Death of Mrs August Savall
Funeral services for Mrs August Savall, who passed away Thursday, March 27
1924, were held from the family home on S Main St Saturday, March 29th at
2:30 p.m. in chrage of Rev. A. F. Nicoaus and were largely attended.
About a year ago Mrs Savall suffered a nervous breakdown and never fully
recovered.
Calra Langholff was born in Fort Atkinson, May 16 1866 and had since resided
here. She married August Savall Oct 29, 1891, and this union was blessed
with three daughters, one of whom- Malita, died 8 years ago.
Mrs Savall was of a dindly nature and enjoyed to an unusual degree the
confidence and respect of a large circle of neighbors and friends. Her
labors are finished but her memory will live long in the minds of those who
knew her best. For many years she was na untiring worker in St Paul's
Luthern Church.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughters, Mrs Reno Smith and
Miss Eleanore Savall, three sisters, Mrs William Gallitz and Mrs Jacob
Eberle of Chicago and Mrs William Wirig of this city, all of whom have
sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.
Inturnment was in Evergreen cemetery
Among the out of town people present at the funeral were. Mr and Mrs Jacob
Stoffel, Mr and Mrs Albert Morritz, Racine. Mr and Mrs Leo Voettz, Mr and
Mrs R. E. Voettz, Clinton, Mr and Mrs Hugo von Rohr, Mr and Mrs Henry
Piehler, Milwaukee, Mrs Will Gallitz, Mrs Harlo Mace Chicago; Mr and Mrs
Lute Rowe, Miss Mary Mennicke and sister, Art Knilands, Mrs Julious
Langholff Janesville; Mr and Mrs Otto Berg, Mr and Mrs F Berg, Lima
