             Earl W Langholff Drowns Sunday
 
Earl William Langholff, 17, drowned last Sunday afternoon while swimming at Lac La Belle at Oconomowoc. After attending a picnic at Watertown he had gone to the lake for a swin in company with his sister, Lucille, and a friend, Carl Zoellich, of Watertown. His absence was discovered by the sister and a search immediately started. The body was recovered approximately 2 hours later.
   Earl was born in the town of Hebron on January 29 1921, a son of Mr and Mrs Oscar Langholff. he spent his entire lifetime in this community attending the Silberhorn school east of the sity for a time and graduating from St John's Lutheran school of Jefferson. He also attended the vocational scholl at Fort Atkinson. For the past year and a half he hda been doing general farm work and was employed near Whitewater at the time of his death.
   Possessed of a pleasing personality and a cheery disposition, Earl was universally liked and his untimely demise was a blow to the community in which he spent his too brief lifetime.
   Surviving are his parents, a sister, Lucille and a brother Lester.
   Funeral services were held at St John's Evangelical Lutheran Church at 2 Wednesday afternoon, the Rev Heinrich Vogel of Fond du Lac officiating. Burial was in the Christbert Cemetery, east of the city.
   Pallbearers included Elmer, Ernest, Alfred, Herman, Norman, and Harvey Langholff.
   Flowers were in charge of Mrs Harold Lang, Mrs Otto Sievert, Ethel and Mildred Moldenhauer and Ruth and Dorothy Cory.
