Edith Langholff Maasz
Mrs Ferdinand Maasz, 78, died Tuesday, April 6th at 1 p.m. at the
Saunders Convalescent Home where she had been since December.
Born Edith Langholff, daughter of Julius and Catherine Regelein
Langholff, November 15 1875 in Fort Atkinson. In March 1908 she married
Ferdinand Maasz in Fort Atkinson and they lived on a farm near Whitewater
until 1941 when they moved to town to make their home on Fouth St. Her
husband preceded her in death in 1943.
Surviors include three daughers; Mrs William Miller, Fort Atkinson, Mrs
Mildred Sake, Palmyra and Mrs Alvin Cox, Whitewater; seven grandchildren and
four great grandchildren; four brothers; Edward, Arthur and Oscar all of
Fort Atkinson and Rudolf of Madison; one sister, Mrs A J. Knilans of
Janesville and many other relatives. Mrs Maasz was a member of the 1st
English Lutheran Church and was associated with the Ladies Aid Society.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. from the 1st English
Lutheran Church with internment in the Cold Spring Cemetery. Rev. W Sigwalt
will officiate. Friends may call at the Skindingsrude and Lein Funeral Home
tonight (Thursday)
