Newspaper article: A New London Newspaper publishes a notice of the death of Dr John R Moore and states that he was born in this county in July 1850, and that he was a brother of Mrs Henrietta Clark of Fort Atkinson. He died as a result of accidentally shooting himself while out hunting. Publish date Nov 24 1909 
 
  Oscar Moore attended the funeral of his brother, Dr. J. R. Moore at New London last Wednesday.  Dr. Moore was accidentally shot while at a deer hunter's camp in northern Wisconsin.

Victim of the Hunt
Dr. John R. Moore passes
away at his home in Ironwood MI.
Iron Mt. Michigan.  As a result of wounds received a week ago, when he
was accidentally shot while hunting, Dr. John R. Moore died Sunday
morning.
Dr. Moore was at his hunting lodge near San Souci, 25 miles from here
when the accident occurred.  The injured man lay for over an hour before
he was found by his brother, Dr. G.E. Moore, and suffered considerably
from the loss of blood.
Dr. Moore was a chief surgeon for the U.S. Steel Co. also for Chicago &
Northwestern Road and had lived here for about 20 years.  He was a
prominent member of the masonic order.  The funeral will be held Wednesday
at New London, his former home.  A wife, two daughter and son survive.
