Funeral services were held today, Monday, Feb 7, 1994, at St John's Community Church in the town of Oakland for Paul F Brandel, 85, of Fort Atkinson who died Friday, Feb 4, at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital.

   Burial took place in Evergreen Cemetery.

   Born Sept 27, 1908, in the town of Sumner, the son of George and Emma (Heckler) Brandel, he married Helen Westphal on June 15, 1932

   Mr Brandel served on the Sumner Town Board for 35 years and was a member of St John's Community Church, Jefferson County Guernsey Breeders Board and Odd Fellows Lodge 180.

   Surviving are his wife; a son, David (Barbara) of Fort Atkinson; a daughter, Caroloyn (Don) Schroeder of Carrollton, Texas; five grandchildren; six great grandsons.

   He was predeceased by her parents and one brother, George.
