Will F Becker
Will F Becker, a prosperous and progressive farmer of the town of
Oakland, died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, October , 18, at the age of 41 years, 8
months and 18 days. Erysipelas was the cause of his death. He suffered from
this disease for more than five weeks.
Mr Becker was born in the town of Sumner, January 29, 1882, and had
resided in this community all his life. He was married at Lake Mills, WI.,
November 25 1909, to Miss Elsie Langholff of the town of Oakland. His widow
and two children, Norma 12; and Howard 6 survive. Besides these he leaves to
mourn his mother, Mrs. F.W. Becker; two sisters, Mrs Emil Klement and Mrs.
Sam Klement, and one brother, Albert Becker, all of Ft Atkinson.
Mr Becker was well liked by everyone who knew him and was a real neighbor
who was always willing to help others. His death is sincerely mourned in the
community.
Funeral services were held at St John's Evangtelical church, Oakland,
Sunday, Oct 21, the Revs. Recht and Ruelow officaiting. Internment took
place at the Union Cemetery, Jefferson. The following acted as pallbearers:
Messrs Elmer Brounty, Otto Kiermeni, Ed Becker, Ed Kiesling, Albert Mode and
Harry Becker. Deceased was a son-in-law of Mr and Mrs John Langholff of this
City.
