A. A. Isermann Biography
As published in
"The City of Kenosha and Kenosha County Wisconsin: A Record of Settlement,
Organization, Progress and Achievement"
by Frank H. Lyman Vol. 2, The S. J. Clarke Publishing Co., Chicago, 1916.
A. A. Isermann, a partner and treasurer in the clothing business conducted under
the style of Isermann Brothers, is one of Kenosha¹s native sons, his parents
being Anthony and Mary (Bedesem) Isermann, who are mentioned at some length in
connection with the sketch of Michael J. Isermann on another page of this work.
At the usual age A. A. Isermann became a public school pupil in Kenosha, passing
through consecutive grades until he became a high school student. In 1892 he
joined his brother, Michael J. Isermann, in the clothing business, and he has
been a lifelong resident of Kenosha save for a period of two years, which he
spent upon the road as a traveling salesman. He is now active in the management
and control of a business of large and gratifying proportions, for the clothing
house of Isermann Brothers, of which he is a member, supplies a large trade. The
establishment is well equipped. The show cases, clothing cabinets and all the
store fixtures are such as enhance the attractiveness of the house, while
unfailing courtesy is maintained on the part of proprietors and employes,
combined with earnest desire to please all patrons.
Fraternally he is a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Benevolent and
Protective Order of Elks and the Eagles.
