Langlade County Wisconsin USGenWeb

Langlade County located in North-Central Wisconsin. Originally created, on 27 Feb 1879, from territory that had been part of Oconto County, it was named New County. On Feb 20, 1880, the county was renamed Langlade County, in honor of Charles de Langlade. It was fully organized on Feb 19, 1881, created from Lincoln and Oconto Counties The county's original borders extended northward from the top of Shawano County up to the Michigan.
