INSCRIPTIONS for EMMANUEL EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH CEMETERY, a.k.a. "BIG MECAN CEMETERY," Mecan Township, Marquette County, Wisconsin Located on the corner of Evergreen Lane and Town Hall Road, 0.8 mile south of State Highway 23, about 5 miles southeast of Montello. This cemetery was canvassed on 31 July and 5 August 2004, covering each row from east to west, starting on the south end along Town Hall Road. For the last five rows (21-25) of the new section in front of the gray maintenance building across the driveway, the opposite was done, each row west to east and the rows north to south.
