On Sunday last while a party were out sailing on the lake, a sudden gale upset the boat, about a mile from shore, precipitating the whole party into the water, one of whom, Dr. G. S. Shepard, dentist, was drowned. . . . . . 25 June A young man by the name of John Lytle, was drowned in the Montello river yesterday (Friday) . . . 3 Aug. In this village, on the 17th inst., of inflammation of the lungs, Mary, daughter of N. and H. J. Pratt, age 7 months. . . . 26 Sept In the town of Packwaukee, on the 17th inst., Stephen Gifford, aged _ years. 4 Nov. A Man Shot in his Cornfield . . . . On Monday of this week, a man named White, residing about one mile from the village of Princeton, Green Lake County, was found dead in his cornfield, shot through the head.
