In Newton, Wis., Jan 29th, 1867, Widow Huldah Bissell, in the 88th year of her age.  She 
was born in Litchfield, Ct, etc. . . . . 3 Feb

In Packwaukee 22nd inst., Marie, wife of Sidney Gifford.  Mrs. Gifford leaves her husband 
and three small children.  26 Jan

In Harrisville, Wis., Feb 15th, 1867, Mr. Charles O. Bissell, aged 53 years. Etc.. . 3 Feb.

In Shields, Feb 22, 1867, Orsemus Doty, in the 50th year of his age. Mr. Doty was born in 
Pa, but �. Etc.. . . . . 2 Mar.

Shocking Murder in Green Lake County -  The town of Manchester, in Green Lake co., has just 
been the scene of a brutal and deliberate murder.  The victim was a widow lady named 
McCulloch. . . etc. . . 11 Mar

In this village, on the 9th inst., Martha L. youngest daughter of Wm. S. and Betsy Straight, 
aged 8 months and 18 days.   23 Mar.

In this village on Tues., Apr 2, of Phthisis Pulmonalis, Jacob Shibeley, son of J. J. 
Shibeley, age 22 yr.  The funeral was held Thurs.  Sermon by Rev. Mr. Atwater.  6 Apr

In Oxford, April 5th, 1867, George S. Fay, youngest son of Simeon and Levina Fay, aged 12 
years.    25 Apr.

Suicide:  An old man of 77 years, by the name of Engelbert Breezer, living in the town of 
Packwaukee, etc. . . . . . 4 May.

William Bremner, aged 82 years and 3 months, died in Buffalo, Marquette co., May 18th, 1867,  
etc. . . . 25 May.

Drowned:  We learn that Wm. Bangs, a son of Mr. Alva Bangs, of Oxford, in this county, was 
drowned one day last week by falling from a steamboat on the Eau Clare river. Etc. . . 18 Jun

Frightful suicide - Springfield, Mass. June 24,  Mrs. Gilmore. Etc. . .  25 Jun.

Man shot at LaCrosse, deckhand on the steamer Diamond Jo was shot, (no name given)  25 Jun

On the 1st inst., in the town of Buffalo, Henry Mahaffey, about 55 years of age.  We have 
no report of the circumstances attending his sickness or death.  3 Aug.

In this village on the 10th inst., Jonathan Storey, aged 83 yrs.  Montello  18 Aug

In the town of Buffalo, Oct. 7th, 1867, Sarah Whitehead, in the 59th year of her age.   12 Oct.

In this village, on the 8th inst., Frederick Brooks aged 19 years.  We did not see him 
and do not know of what he died.    9 Nov.

House Burned:
On Sunday the 28th, the house of W. J. Clemons in Montello, was burned to the ground. 
Etc. . . 3 Aug.

The dwelling of A. S. Chapel, in Montello, was burned down last Sunday night.  
Etc. . . 9 Nov.

Abandoned:
	A little girl seven years of age was found in the street at Buffalo the other night, 
having been deliberately abandoned by her father, who told her she must go away from home 
and earn her own living, as he could no longer support her.   7 Sep.
