Rudolph J. HerskornSource: Rhinelander Daily News, December 7, 1961Funeral services for Rudolph J. Herskorn, 73, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary’s School, the Rev. Joseph Himmelsbach officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The body will be in state at the Hildebrand Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday, while the rosary will be recited at 7:30. Born in Germany August 12, 1888, Mr. Herskorn came to the United States in 1911 and lived with his parents in the town of Crescent. He worked in Oneida County as a blacksmith for 40 years. Married to the former Ruth Patterson in De Pere in 1927, Mr. Herskorn was a member of St. Mary’s Holy Name Society. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Herbert (Lois) Alsteen, Rhinelander, and Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Trickey, Minneapolis, Minn.; a son, Robert, Rhinelander; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Janke and Mrs. Pauline Schmaltz, both of Rhinelander; and six grandchildren submitted by Rick Thomas |
