Rudolph Schmaltz

Alhambra, Calif. – Rudolph Schmaltz, 67, of Alhambra, Calif., and formerly of Rhinelander, died Sunday in the Veteran Administration Hospital in Long Beach, Calif.

He was born June 13, 1917 in Rhinelander.

Mr. Schmaltz, a World War II veteran, married Bonnie Walker in 1946. He moved from Rhinelander to California in 1952.

Mr. Schmaltz is survived by his wife, Bonnie; two daughters, Diane Neilson of Alhambra and Mrs. Steve (Dolly) Leffler of El Monte, Calif.; two sons, Alex of Alhambra and Rick of Alaska; one brother, Alfred of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. M.J. Huber (Erna) of Florissant, Missouri, Mrs. K.J. (Dorothy) Kettner of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Beck (Elsie) Bloomquist of Rhinelander and Mrs. John (Natalie) Hintz of Rhinelander; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday in Alhambra.
