BRILL, William (1834-1913) & Catherina (GEORGE) (1841-1916). This couple originated in Sheldon (Wyoming Co) NY and settled in eastern WI. They had 17 children. Looking to make contact with descendants of this line. I'm researching the GEORGE line. Willing to share info in return for updates/additions.

Surnames: WITTLIN, HARDY, DEGAN The family of my greatgrandmother, Anna Loretta WITTLIN (b. 09/08/1877 d.09/15/1970) is being currently traced. I have her grandparents, Burkart Peter WITTLIN (b. 03/07/1818 d. 07/12/1878) and Catherine DEGAN (b. 10/16/1816 d. 02-27-93), both born near Basel, Switzerland who were the first WITTLINs to arrive in America in 1845. From New Orleans they came to Germantown,WI and then moved on to Appleton, Outagamie County WI. One of Burkart Peter's sons was another Burkart, born in Germantown WI (01/18/49) who was the father of my great-grandmother Anna Loretta (Etta). I am seeking information on the specific ship that the Wittlins arrived in New Orleans on, and where exactly in Switzerland they are from.

I am researching Henry KAHLER (1832-1907)and his parents Carl KOEHLER (1832-1907) and Louisa DETTMAN (1831-1915). His first wife Anna WINTER (1863-1880) died in child birth. Her parents were Henry WINTER and Sophia WENDT. Henry's second wife was Mary RAHMLOW and they had many children. All lived near Center Township. Henry KAHLER and Anna WINTER had one son, George who married Gertude ROTH (1884-1930) whose parents where Charles and Mary. Looking for info on all these people.

Please help me, I'm having a very hard time trying to do my family tree on my fathers side. He was adopted by maternal grandparent who's last name was GEIGER. I can't find any info on any reletives. This is all I have: buried near Appleton. Harvey born 1/19/1900 married Mae RHINEHARDT. My father is Richard. At some point they moved to Riverdale, IL. SCHLIMM, Henry & Catherine immigrated from Luxembourg in 1863. They lived a short time in Milwaukee before settling in Outagamie Co., Greenville. dau. Catherine m. John Adam ASHAUER 1869; Dau. Katherina m. Caspar JACOBI 1872 in Benton Co. IA; son John m.Catherine ASHAUER 1877; dau. Mary m. Simon STRIEGEL 1875. Son John SCHLIMM's 3 offspring: Anna SCHLIMM m. ? PERRODIN; Mary SCHLIMM m. Fred STARK; John SCHLIMM Jr. m. Agatha KRONSHABUL. MONYETTE, Susan immigrated from Arlan, Belgium and lived with her brother until her husband, George, joined them. George and Susan's 8 children: Barbara, Nicklas, Alex, Catherine, Lisa, Susan, Mary and William MONYETTE. The SCHLIMM and MONYETTE farms were in close proximity. Both Henry and Susan lost their spouse abt. the same time. Henry & Susan were married1878 and had a son, Henry N. SCHLIMM. Henry N. m. Helena HOPFENSPERGER in 1908. Would like to learn death dates and offspring on any of these families.

I am seeking information about the family of my grandfather, Arthur Bernard GILSDORF, b. 1896 in Appleton, WI. His parents were Mathias GILSDORF and Mary ARNES GILSDOF. According to Arthur GILSDORF'S marriage license, both of his parents were born in Wisconsin. I have tried the census for Outagamie County, but have not found any Gilsdorf listings for 1900 or 1910. They were Catholic.
