This is a photograph of the men's club, the BARC, possibly taken in Milton. We'd love to know what the initials BARC represent. Joyce M. Tice has a webpage* dedicated to the BARC flagholders she and others have found in cemeteries. This photograph was taken by SUTTON; one of the gentlemen is J. F. WHITFORD (b. 1891). The photo was submitted by Linda. Update! Rumor has it that "BARC" stands for the Brotherhood of American Railroad Conductors. I'll keep you updated as I find out more. |
