The Janesville & Madison Railroad Company was incorporated on March 6, 1868, by W. H. PEASE, D. F. SAYRE, C. H. CONRAD, Harrison STEBBINS, J. B. PORTER, R. POMEROY, T. E. The road was to be constructed from Janesville, through or near Fulton and Stoughton, and into Madison.
