CHASE
William M.
1832 1845
William M. CHASE died of an inflamation. His and his mother's grave were originally marked by two marble headstones that were destroyed and thrown into the river. The HYZER family of Janesville had the stones replaced. In one history of the township, it states that other members of the CHASE family - and a brother and sister of Mrs. Margaret ENDERS LEE - were buried in Carvers Rock Cemetery. However, that has not been confirmed and there are no headstones. You can find a biography of William C. CHASE (Mary's husband & William's dad) online here.
