ANDERSON, Walter Ludwig
Born at Weyerhaeuser, Wisconsin, Sept 26, 1896. He was the son of Martin and Helen Anderson. Attended the University of Minnesota one and one-half years. Enlisted at Minneapolis, Minnesota June 12, 1918, in 14th Co., 9th Regiment, U.S. Marines. Trained at Paris Island, South Carolina Transferred to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to Galveston Texas, to Quantico, Virginia. Mustered out September 10, 1919.

CUNNINGHAM, Bert
Born at Pioneer, Michigan, June 7, 1896. He was the son of Mrs. Clara Cunningham, Fife Lake, Michigan. Enlisted at Milwaukee, Wisconsin April 1, 1917, in 67th Co. 5th Regiment Marines. Trained at Paris Island, South Carolina. Sailed for France on June 11, 1917. In action at Belleau Woods where he was wounded June 7, 1918, by a machine gun bullet, in left thigh which left the left leg permanently short. Landed in U.S. March 17, 1919, and mustered out October 5, 1919.

GARRETT, Bert
Enlisted in April, 1917, in Marines. Went to France early in 1918. Participated in the battles of Chateau Thierry and Belleau Woods. Was gassed shortly after latter battle. After recovery was assigned as motorist transporting ammunition. Returned from France in December, 1918, and was mustered out in February, 1919.

GOFF, Earl Stephen
Born at Bruce, Wisconsin, July 8, 1892. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Goff, Bruce, Wisconsin. Enlisted December 13, 1917 at St. Paul, Minnesota in the 4th Co., 5th Regiment, Marines. Trained at Paris Island, South Carolina. Sailed for France March 13, 1918. Was in action in the Second Battle of the Marne, where he was wounded June 2, near Chateau Thierry. Landed in U.S. November 21, 1918, and mustered out February 20, 1919.

LEPLEY, Henry Glenn
Born at Vinton, Iowa, May 21, 1892. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Lepley, Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Enlisted at Duluth, Minnesota, May 27, 1915, and assigned to Recruit Depot. Trained at Mare Island, California. Sailed October 5, 1915, for Island of Guam. Transferred to Phillipines June 26, 1917. Promoted to rank of Sergt. Made the cruise from Manila to Barcelona, Spain via the Suez Cannal in 1916. Transferred to Siberia in November, 1918. Was in nine engagements in Russia. Wounded at Vladivostok, January 13, 1919. Landed in U.S. April 17, 1919, and mustered out June 14, 1919.

LEVEILLE, Allyn L.
Born at Glidden Wisconsin, February 15, 1899. He was the son of Rock and Mary Leveille, Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Graduate of high school. Enlisted July 17, 1918, at Mare Island, California., in Co. H, 3rd Section, U.S. Marines. Trained at Mare Island and Quantico, Virginia. Sailed for France October 16, 1918. Transferred to Co. I, 11th Regiment Marines. Landed in U.S. July 11, and mustered out August 28, 1919.

Born at Glidden, Wisconsin, December 17 1897. He was the son of Rock and Mary Leveille, Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Graduate of High School. Enlisted at Mare Island, California., July 5, 1918, in Co F, 2nd Section. Trained at Mare Island and Quantico, Virginia. Sailed for France September 26, 1918. Transferred to Headquarters. Co., 11th Regiment Marines. Promoted to rank of corporal. Landed in U.S. June 17, and mustered out July 1, 1919.

LUKINICH, Ernest
Born at Jonesboro, Indiana, November 20, 1896. He was the son of Andrew and Nancy Lukinich, Conrath, Wisconsin. Enlisted at St. Paul, Minnesota on April 16, 1915, in 39th Co. Marine Corps. Trained at Mare Island, California. Stationed in China October 13, 1915, to February 19, 1916, and in the Phillipines from February 19, 1916 to March 23, 1919. Mustered out May 1, 1919.

McCRACKEN, Arnold
Born at Ontario, Wisconsin, May 7, 1900. He was the son of I F. and Viola McCracken, Island Lake, Wisconsin. Enlisted at St. Paul, Minnesota May 15, 1918, in 65th Co., 5th Marines. Trained at Paris Island, South Carolina. Sailed for France August 20, 1918. In action in Champagne, Meuse-Argonne, Soissons. Wounded November 7, 1918, in Meuse-Argonne, in left foot by machine gun bullet, also gassed by mustard gas. Ill with measles and typhoid December 15, 1918 to February 25, 1919. Landed in U.S. June 5, and released June 20, 1919.

MORSE, Raymond Elbert
Born at Springfield, Missouri, November 26, 1894. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Morse, Bruce, Wisconsin. Enlisted at Paris Island, South Carolina, August 4, 1916, in 43d Co., 5th Marines. Trained at Paris Island, South Carolina. Sailed from U.S. October 29, 1916, for San Domingo, West Indies, and returned October 28, 1917. Sailed for France February 6, 1918. In front line thirty at Verdun, and in Battle of Belleau Woods, where he was wounded June 11, 1918. Landed in U.S. April, 20, and mustered out July 15, 1919.

THOMPSON, Henry Irving
Born at Stevens Point, Wisconsin He was the son of Gus and Carrie Thompson, Ladysmith, Wisconsin. Graduate of Ladysmith High School. Enlisted at Duluth, Minnesota June 15, 1917. Trained at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Was a Marine Gunner on the U.S.S. Charleston for 17 months, made 8 trips across. The Charleston was credited with destroying a German submarine 40 miles off the Atlantic coast. Mustered out February 23, 1919.

Born at Hector, Minnesota, on April 26, 1895. He was the son of John and Julia Whitney, Bruce, Wisconsin. Enlisted at St. Paul, Minnesota, December. 22, 1917, in 81st Co., U.S. Marine Corps. Trained at Paris Island, South Carolina. Suffered a sprained ankle, February 1 to 15, 1919 at Key West, Florida. Stationed at Key West, Florida March 15, 1918 to April 15, 1919. Mustered out April 15, 1919.
