Anna Katherine Haugen Aastrom
Parents were Thomas Nilsen Haugen and Aaste Karine Engrebretsen, who came from Modum, Norway in 1860 to Martell Township, where Aaste Karine died. They then moved to Sawyer county and on to Ashland, where Thomas and his sons, Eric and Theodore Haugen died. The siblings went on to Bayfield county before going onto South Dakota. John Thompson is the oldest son of Thomas Nilsen Haugen and Aaste Karine Engrebretsen. He lived in Lenroot Township along the Namekogan river until his death in 1922, Civil war vet of the 2nd Mn Co E. The sisters in this picture are John Thompson's sisters. Donated by Pam |
