This school was maintained
for the benefit of the families of Joseph Larson, H. A. Pierce, and Mrs.
E. J. Wheeler. The school house was built of logs by H. A. Pierce
under the general supervision of school clerk William Jordan during the
summer of 1895. It stands on lot 3, Section 21-39-9.
Terms of school have been
held as follows:
SABEAN, Grace - Summer of
1895 for three months
BORGAN, Eleanor - May 3
to July 23, 1897
HICKS, Sara - October 18
to December 24, 1897
LANGSLOW, Olive - April
18 to July 8, 1898
WHEELER, Mary - September
12 to December 2, 1898
WHEELER, Mary - December
12, 1898 to March 31, 1899
The small attendance did
not justify the continuance of this school and most of the children have
since attended the Jordan
school.
