On July 8, 1901, the school board let a contract for $542.00 to W. H. Marquette to build a school house on the N. W. corner N. W. ¼ S. E. ¼ Section 3-41-9.  In the construction of this building Mr. Marquette had permission to use such parts of the old Moore school house as were usable.  The building is nearly a duplicate of the Windfall Lake and the Pahquayahwang school houses.  Wilsie T. Vance has been elected to teach this school during the coming school year.
