This school has been frequently
referred to as the Harnden school as Milton Harnden was clerk of this sub-district
for several years. The school house was erected on the S. W. corner
of Section 12-37-7 during the spring of 1887 by Alfred Raynor who had the
contract from the school board.
The school has been maintained,
principally, to give educational privileges to the family of Alfred Villiard.
When Joseph Villiard lives on his farm his children also attend this school.
