bearmilr@worldnet.att.net  Posted 2/20/98  I am searching for ancestors and family of my grandfather Emil Arthur LENZ.  Emil was born 30 Oct 1877 in Shawano County.  At present I have been unable to find anything on him except that he married Martha Auguste MEHLBERG on 30 Apr 1904 in Shawano, Tigerton WI.  They had 4 daughters and 3 sons and lived in Shawano Co. until around 1925 when they moved to Milwaukee.  Family legend has it that Emil had brothers Fred and Herman and at least one sister Emma.  Fred is believed to have lived on a farm near Split Rock.  Herman lived with his widowed mother somewhere in the Split Rock, Tigerton, Caroline and Marion area.  Emma married a MARQUARDT.  Census records from 1880 show a Herman LENZ living with a Sharlotto (widowed) and that they emigrated from Germany in 1873.  This fits with family legend.  Fred is believed to have maintained the original LENTZ spelling.

Warrington Street until their death in the early 1960's.  The Carl & Henrietta BLAESE's immigrated from Kreis Cammin, Pommern? through Hamburg and are listed as a family with M-I-L Dorothea KRAUSE.  The BLAESE's stayed around the Town of Hartland in Bonduel all their life and Henrietta's sister, Wilhelmina married ?
