Darren sent in the following Real Photo Post Cards for our website -- these are great photos of 2 post offices and a postcard we think are Jake & Mary Pettibone... here's Darren's email and if you can help identify the post cards, please email me and we'll add the info to the webpage.  Thanks Darren for the great addition to the site!  WE LOVE POSTCARDS & PHOTOS!!!

" I found all three of these in the same lot of postcards at the flea market at the Shawano County Fairgrounds back in July when I was staying in a cabin up there.  They were of interest to me because of my love of history and especially because I am a member of and active researcher for the Wisconsin Postal History society.  Also some of my ancestors come from Shawano County.  My Great-Grandfather who passed in 2000 was born in Pella in 1909.  My Great-Grandmother was born in Bowler.  My family surnames from the area include:  Suehring (Suhring), Kraemer, Steinke and Wolff.   I hope you enjoy the information I have sent and I would love to hear of any input or thoughts on these items.

Regards,
Darren Mueller

The photographs included in this group are as follows:

(Click on the photo for the LARGER SCAN to help you identify the faces.)

The first is a RPPC of a family on a farm.  Based on my research I think the message on the card (signed Jake & Mary) is a picture of Jake and Mary Pettibone on their farm.  In the 1910 US Census (Germania Township) they are the only Jake and Mary listed in Shawano County or neighboring Waupaca County.

The second item is an unknown and unidentified post office building picture on a RPPC and has not identifying message or notation of any kind.  I would really like some help on this one if it can be identified.

The third item is a RPPC of the Buettner Store and post office in Bowler, dated 1909.
