Some time ago, Yvonne sent in this group of photos -- the pictures
of the children are just SPECTACULAR!!! Yvonne's grandmother was
Myrtle CURTIS who married William GJERMUNDSON and they lived in
Morris Twp., Shawano County. If you know any additional info,
please contact
email us so we can update
the page! And Yvonne, thanks for the pictures!!
If you CLICK on the
photos, you can see the larger pictures that will make identifying
them easier.
And if you have
unidentified photos or old photos you would just like to share with
other researchers, send them to me at
czaplewska@aol.com and we'll
make a page for them. |
Yvonne noted that the only mark
on this photo is A. F. Andrews, Oshkosh photographer. This
could be the family CURTIS or GJERMUNDSON.

Nelson, Tigerton, Wis. has identified this photo: Jonathan Waite
Curtis, who married Lydia Jane Lake in 1852. They had three
children, Henry Adelbert (my great-grandfather), Myrtle May
(Yvonne's grandmother) and Clinton D. Curtis. |

Nelson, Tigerton, Wis. has identified this photo: Yvonne is correct in
the assumption it is her grandmother, Myrtle Curtis Gjermundson, in
the middle. Her brother, Henry Adelbert Curtis is on the right and
his wife (my great-grandmother) Eoline Calhoun Curtis. |

This GORGEOUS photo with the two
children was taken by C. A. Spicer with studios in Clintonville and
Wittenberg. Just a wonderful photo just waiting for someone to
identify the children! All these pictures were found in a family
collection and only the above one mentioned a name. If you have
any ideas on their identities, please let us know!
SUCCESS AGAIN!!!
"I was
looking through the photos you have on the Shawano Co. Genweb site
with my friend (Wiladean Gjermundson Young) who is from that county &
she informs me that the photo of the little boy & girl on the Curtis -Gjermundson
page are her father, Truman Jay Gjermundson (b. 1899) and his sister
Irma Gjermundson Klaves (1891). They are the children of George &
Sophia Johson Gjermundson. If we can be of any further assistance,
please contact me.
Thanks you,
Suzanne Long" |

Nelson, Tigerton, Wis. has identified this photo:
The photo of the six
children are from the family of Ray and Grace (Buck) Curtis. Ray is
the son of H. A. and Eoline Curtis, along with a brother Don and
sisters, Maude Curtis Fink and Roberta Curtis Christensen (my
grandmother).
I believe the children
to be the first of 13 children born to Ray and Grace; namely,
Muriel, Duane (Wayne), Clifford, Kenneth, Beatrice and Laverne.
