This gorgeous family photo recently was
posted in the Shawano Leader and we decided to place it online, too.
Hopefully one of our researchers will recognize the family or a family member so
we can put names to these faces! Email
me if you have any ideas or clues!
This is either Oconto or Shawano people and
was published in the Shawano paper. The article reads as follows:
The photo above was recently found at a
home in Oconto Falls. It turned up in the home of Joan Gauthier, 92, who told
her daughter, Joan Block of Bonduel, that she didn’t recognize anyone in the
picture as an ancestor.
On the back of the photo, written in pencil
is "Taken in Shawano, Wisconsin, Dec. 25th 1908" followed by "Family Reunion-
first and last reunion".
Block said her mother gave the photo to her
hoping someone in the area can identify the family pictured.
"If someone can identify the people," she
said, "I'd like to give them the picture." If it turns out to be relatives of
Block, she said she'd be happy to provide a copy.
