This first picture is of
my great great grandfather, John Dominowski. He was born in Poland
in 1834, and died in 1933. He lived most of his adult life, and died, in
Shawano county. He is buried in Union Cemetery. This is a picture of him
and his son, John Dominowski Jr - John Jr. was born in 1902, so judging
by his age, the picture was probably taken about 1910 or so. |

John Dominowski --
John with his wife Mary (Wash) Dominowski in front of their farm.
Mary was b.1853 - Poland,
d. 1931 - Shawano County, buried in Union Cemetery. |

Here's another one of John
Dominowski. This one was taken in Chicago (when the streets were dirt).
There's a poster behind him for the Logans Square Theater. This theater
is still in Chicago. This one was taken many years before he moved to Shawano,
when he lived in Chicago. |

This one is my ggrandmother
Alma
(Nelson) Dominowski, and gggrandmother Caroline (Olsen) Nelson.
Alma was born September 18, 1895 in Lessor, Wisconsin, married Andrew Dominowski,
and died May 15, 1968 in Shawano. Caroline was born in 1874 in Wisconsin,
married Andrew Nelson in 1894, and died in Shawano County, Wisconsin.
[I love this mother-daughter
picture because you can see the small generational differences. Alma's
dress is slightly more form fitting, her neck is exposed, her hair is not
pulled back as severely as her mother's.] |

This is Alma (Nelson)
Dominowski and her Uncle Anton Nelson. This picture was taken
right around the year 1900. |
|
Kris also sent along these
funeral cards for Alma DOMINOWSKI (1895-1968), Edwin NELSON
(1899 - 1980), and Kenneth E. DOMINOWSKI (1931 - 1990). |
