LINKE FAMILY INFO:
I recently received an email from Mary (kayaklady@gmail.com) asking about the LINKE FAMILY and though we have the cemetery online here, there wasn't much else.  So, until some kind soul out there submits a FAMILY GROUP SHEET on this family, I'm posting the tidbits I found in reply to the email.  AND, (HINT! HINT!) if anyone has more info on the Stefan / Stephan & Karolina LINKE family, send it in and I'll add it to the list!!

Stefan (1839 - 1901) & Karolina (1843 - 1923) (nee Wildner) immigrated from Bohemia on the Alsatia, arriving in Castle Garden, New York City on 4 June 1881, and then traveled to the Morris Twp area in Shawano County.  Both are interred at the above mentioned cemetery.  They had several children:

Antonia LINKE married Alfred (Fred) ROBERTS on May 1, 1905 in Shawano County.
Amelia (or Emilie) LINKE (1865 - 1890) married Wendelin KRAUSE on 29 January 1882 in Shawano County.
Anna LINKE (1867 - 1890) married Joseph NEUMANN on 29 Jan 1882 in Shawano County.
Martha LINKE (1882 - 1972) married Emery ROBERTS on 1 September 1902 in Outagamie County.
Anton LINKE marries Clara LADWIG on Sep 14, 1905 in Marathon County.

The first census I find the family listed in is the 1895 Wisconsin State Census.  The household consists of 4 males and 4 females... sorry, no first names.  Other family in the immediate area were Anton Linke (appears single) and Joseph Neumann (appears married).  The next census is the 1900 Federal Census for Morris Twp. and it shows Stefan LINKE and his wife Caroline who have been married for 35 years and Caroline has had 8 children with only 4 living in 1900.  Children Anton (b. April 1871), Martha (b. November 1882) and Antonia (b. August 1887) are all single and living at home.  Caroline's daughters Emilie & Anna died in 1890.

** Franz LINK is a passenger on the ship but not listed in the immediate cabin of Stefan & Caroline -- possibly from his age, he could be Stefan's younger brother?
