LAKELAND AREA GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

LAGS is a group of local genealogists who have varying interests and degrees of experience in researching their family histories. The society meets once a month for a brief business meeting, and educational program and to help members with their research. Meetings are held at the Minocqua Library/Community Building,415 Menominee Street (third floor - Torpy Room, on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 7pm. Guests are always welcome.

The members have been busy these past several months indexing more than twenty years of births, deaths and marriages reported in the Lakeland Times newspaper. In 1999 the club published a Birth, Marriage & Death Indexes for The Times & Minocqua Times 1891-1926; this book is still available. The new index will go through the year 1949. Land O'Lakes Group

This group meets at 2:00pm in the Land O'Lakes Library the 2nd Wednesday of each month except for the months of July and August. For more information Send email


Eagle River Genealogy Society

The newly formed society meets the fourth Thursday of each month in the Olson Memorial Library from 7:00P.M.-9:00P.M. There will be no meeting in November or December 2006. For further information, contact Sharon Rogers.
