Physician’s Report - For the year ending June 1928

To the
Honorable Board of Trustees of the Waupaca County Asylum for the Insane:
In presenting this, my twenty-fifth annual report, I am pleased to state
that conditions in my department have been as satisfactory as any year
during my incumbency. There has been less sickness and fewer accidents and
deaths than usual.
While there are always a certain number of cases that suffer from mental
depression, stress and anxiety as a result of their mental incompetence,
it would seem that even those afflictions have been lighter than usual.
The general sanitation of the buildings and premises has been very
acceptable and the general hygienic conditions have been well cared for.
Occupation and
amusement: Rest and recreation have been carefully planned to meet the
requirements of each individual. Surroundings are made as bright and
cheerful as possible and every effort is put forth to assuage the mental
gloom that hovers over many of them.
