Waupaca County Asylum - Weyauwega, WI Physician’s Report – Fiscal Year Ending June 30, 1936 To the Honorable Board of Trustees: I herewith present the report of the Medical Department for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 1936. The general health of the patients has been fully up to the average. There has been no epidemic and sickness has been only that common among patients of this class. One case of heat prostration, which through prompt and energetic treatment made a complete recovery. In surgery we had one case of fractured thigh and one case of contraction of the pylorus, requiring laparotomy to correct. Both cases terminated favorably. Only a few other cases of minor surgery. Hygienic and sanitary conditions have been maintained in the same excellent condition as formerly. Patients have been well fed, well clothed and given good beds to sleep in. Heating and ventilation has been well regulated. Exercise, vocation, and entertainment has been planned to meet the patients needs. In fact, all details have been well supervised by Superintendent and Matron.
In closing, I wish to thank your Honorable Board, Superintendent, Matron, and Attendants for the cooperation which I have always had from you.
