Waupaca County Asylum - Weyauwega, Wisconsin

 Physician’s Report - Year ending June 1943
Transcribed by Paula Vaughan

In Memory of August W. Flunker

Mr. Flunker passed away at New London, Wisconsin, February 28, 1942. He was elected Trustee of this institution at the fall session of the County Board in 1933 and at the time of his death was president of the Board of Trustees.

A man of strong physique,, energetic, and very active and aggressive, no one would judge him to be seventy-eight years old at the time of his death. Of genial disposition and smiling countenance, his presence always brightened the atmosphere when he met with his business associates.

Mr. Flunker gave freely of his time, and his wealth of past business experience was of inestimable value in making decisions of importance. In his passing the institution has lost a valuable servant and his co-workers a true and trusted friend.
