From the research cords of  Wayne & Alta Guyant October 1977

The following record of four graves can be found in the offices of the Register of Deeds, at the Waupaca County courthouse. In Warranty Deeds book 46, Page 417, can be found this transfer of property between Harriet McCreary (Grantor) and Martin Wallace (Grantee) dated December/September? 22, 1882.
The NW 1/2 of the SE 1/4, the S 1'2 of the S 1/2 of the E 1/2 of the NW 1/4, and the NE 1/4 of the SW 1/4 all in Section 8 Township 22 N - R 12E (100 acres) possession to be given to said grantee, ?? April 1st, 1883. The said grantor shall have the privilege and it shall be her duty to remove before April 1st, 1883, the four bodies from the graves lying farthest south ?? said 20 acres.

This property previously belonged to Lemuel and Sarah Dewey - Harriet McCreary was a widow prior to 1882. Lemuel Dewey, died January 24, 1880 and was buried on the farm. Death records Volume 2 Page 43 and Sarah died March 27, 1882, death record Volume 4, Page 20 are they two of the four bodies and if so who are the other ones? Maybe Mr. McGreary is another. There seems to be no records of their removal.

Due to the fact that the bodies had to be removed by April 1, and the ground may have been frozen or covered with snow. It would seem that these bodies were never moved. This would be located on Ebbe Lake Road, just east of the intersection with Ware Road. In 1975 this land belonged to Gerald VanRysin.
