Smith Family Cemetery
Section 28, Township of Farmington,
Waupaca County, Wisconsin
Located on Smith Lane about 3 miles west of Waupaca

Copied by Wayne and Alta Guyant October 1971

This is a private little clearing in the woods. We were in this cemetery in the fall and it was so peaceful and lovely in here.
It is kept  cleaned out and the sun shines down through the trees. There is a big boulder with metal tabs on it of the
first ones buried in this little clearing, the ones buried late years have their own markers. We are told also there are some buried
there with no markers. It is in Section 28, in the Township of Farmington, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. It is about three miles
west of Waupaca to Smith Land and about ¼ mile in and then walk about ¼ mile west into the woods.

We are told that there is an Edwin Smith and Clara Smith, Husband and Wife that are buried out there. Mrs. Fern Smith, who
lives in the Smith house on this land, tells us that the original idea was to be buried there with the names only on the big boulder,
but that in later years there has been individual markers, placed on the place of burial.
