and date unknown Lois Mae Edminster, 76, Waupaca, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Crystal River Nursing Home, Waupaca. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church, Waupaca, with the Rev. Paul Nulton officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. A memorial has been established to the Crystal River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in her name. The Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, is assisting the family with arrangements. Lois was born Aug. 14, 1925, in Waupaca, a daughter of the late Oscar and Averil (Johnson) Winkler. She was married to Reuben W. Edminster on June 5, 1954, in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1996. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Waupaca. She was a member of the church choir for many years. She sang with the Waupaca Community Choir for many years and had sung solos through the years for a number of funerals. She was a member of the Waupaca Chapter of the Rebekah Samaritan Lodge, a soloist at the state Rebekah Assemblies and a member of the Badger Ladies Aide. Prior to her marriage, she was employed as a telephone operator in Waupaca for about 10 years. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca, for about 11 years, retiring in 1987. Lois is survived by one son, R. William Edminster, McHenry, Ill.; one daughter, Mary Edminster, Stevens Point; one brother, Carroll Winkler, Waupaca; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reuben; her parents; and a sister, Genevieve Barnhart. ______________________________
Newspaper and date unknown Gerhart Ludwig Prell, 75, a retired employee of the Soo Line Railroad, died at 8:15 Tuesday night at Riverside Hospital, Waupaca. where he was admitted that morning. The Prell home is at 1001 Church St., but the couple spent their summers at the Waupaca Chain 0’ Lakes. Mr. Prell was secretary of the Camp Cleghorn Association, an organization of cottage owners on Columbian Lake. Born in Stevens Point March 5, 1888, he was a lifelong resident here. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Prell. On June 21, 1916, he was married here to the former Charlotte Keiling of Stevens Point. Mr. Prell was with the Soo Line for 43 years, most of the time as a claims adjuster. He retired about 10 years ago. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Brotherhood and had been secretary of the Camp Cleghorn Association for 12 years. Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Miss Selma Prell, at home, Mrs. Alvin (Irene) Weiderhoft, Clear Lake, and Mrs. Arlan (Idamae) Knutson, Rochester, Minn.; two sons, Raymond, at home, and Norman, 415 N. Soo Marie Ave.; seven grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Paul Prell, St. Louis, Mo., and two sisters, William Schulz, Racine, and Mrs. Ernest Meier, Geneseo, Ill. A brother and six sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran Church, with The Rev. Raymond Paulsen of Bethany Home, Waupaca, officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Waupaca. Friends may call at, the Prell home at 1001 Church St. from 7 o’clock This evening until 11 a.m. Friday, and from noon until the time of the services at the church. The Boston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Prell’s name. ______________________________

Worden, 79, of the Town of Plover, died at Sarasota, Fla., Friday
afternoon. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Boston Funeral
Home.
Worden services Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name. Mr. Worden died Friday at a hospital in Sarasota, Fla. He and his wife Sylvia were spending the winter in Florida. Born Nov. 27, 1896, in the Town of Buena Vista, he was the son of the !ate Mr. and Mrs. George Worden. He married Sylvia Peterson on June 23, 1921, in Waupaca County. The couple lived in the Town of Linwood until moving to Stevens Point in 1928. Mr. Worden operated a grocery store and chicken hatchery on 3rd Street until 1933. He and his wife moved to Springville, Town of Plover, where he operated a chicken hatchery until his retirement. He then worked for Asphalt Products Co. Survivors include his wife; one son, Clifford, Grand Rapids, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Norma) Kunde, Middleton, and Mrs. Douglas (Janice) Sorenson, Cedarburg; one sister, Mrs. Dee {Ruby) Bourn, 2240 Patch St.; 10 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. One sister, six brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. ______________________________

Hetzel was born in the Almond area May 27, 1874, a daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hetzel. She was married March Surviving are three children, Chester, Amherst, Mrs. Walter Morey, Waupaca and Mrs. Eva Jenney, Sparta, N. J,; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Arthur Hetzel, Tampa, Fla., and two sisters. Daily Journal - May 4, 1977 Lydia A. Hetzel, 91, an Almond area native, died Tuesday morning at Riverside Community Hospital, Waupaca. She had been living at the Weyauwega Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca, where friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday and before services Friday. The Rev. Leon Leeds will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park, Waupaca. Miss Hetzel was born Feb 24, 1886, near Almond, a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Michael Hetzel She moved to the Waupaca area in 1924. She was a housekeeper. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. ______________________________
Stevens Point Daily Journal – Stevens Point, Wisconsin - May 26, 1970 Funeral services for Paul S. Gray, 85, Waupaca, were held recently at the Holly Funeral Home at Waupaca, with the Rev. Harold Reemstma of the First Baptist Church at Waupaca in charge. Burial was made in Lakeside Cemetery there. Mr. Gray, a retired painter, died at the Waupaca Rest Home. He was born in the Town of Belmont on Jan. 6, 1885, and he married Daisey Sawyer at Parfreyville on Oct. 12, 1909. Mrs. Gray died in 1918. Mr. Gray is survived by one son, Perry, Hoquiam, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Peterson, Campbellsport, Mrs. Lyle Hetzel, Almond, and Mrs. Vivian Knutson, Aberdeen, Wash; a step-daughter, Mrs. Sam Allison, Amherst; a brother, Zern Gray, Marysville, Wash., and 12 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. _____________________________
