Dear Wife
 
I have not heard from you since you wrote to father.  I have not had any letter since.  I am wel and have plenty of thrashing and the machine runs well and we have not had any break downs this year but we thrash along every day even the weather is good we have lost some time with wet weather and we have had a great deal of wet grain to thrash we have earned two hundred and ninety four dollars and have enough engaged to make it up to four hundred dollars.  It will take us eighteen or twenty days to finish the jobs we have now engaged if it is al good weather and good luck.   I am sorry to hear that you have not got my letters.  I have written you three or four and directed to Waupakee falls and one of them had a ten dollar bill in.  I hope you have got it before this time.   I have written two and directed to Strongs Landing the first was mailed at racine the day that Thomas started from home to come to the Landing and the other was written two weeks after and I am afraid he would not get either one of them.  I have written to you once in two weeks as I told wonda?  I will write you two today one to Waupacky and the other to Berlin and hope you wil get one or the other or both of them.  I cannot get home for a month yet and perhaps not then.  I would send you some more money but I am afraid you could not get it if you get out of provisions you must borrow some money and send and get wat you want but if you wil write me as soon as you get this and if the mail at Waupackey has got regulated so that you can get it I wil send you some yet Goodrich and Jane Thompson were married last Thursday week at Mr. Thompsons.  I was at the weding.  They had a large company Colonel White and Lady Mr Proctor. Burnam. Bennett. Maris White. Gey. Decon Weber. And al of their Wife’s Ware there and Mrs McFurson and G C VanHorn Elder Dye and his wife, James Bennett and Margaret and John Thompson and Mary Lumbard stood up with them Elder Dye married them they are going to keep house this winter in Maris White’s house.  Mr White and his Wife are going east to stay until spring.  Joseph Elis and Julia Humway were married last Wensday he has taken her to Mrs. Howes.  Mr. Kimbal has got home from Calefarnia.  I do not know how much he has made but he does not advise any body to go their.  Blooms and father are al wel Mike and Bill look quite Slick in haste from yar Husband
