A little child of S. E. Rondeaus is sick with measles.

A McQueen visited friends in Rhinelander during the holidays.

Fred Strong of Seymour, a brother of Mrs. Rondeau, visited in town last Monday.

Will Bullock returned to his school at Appleton last week.

Glen Wood of Iola visited friends here last week.

Mrs. R. G. Gilson of Clintonville visited her brother and family, Geo. Rhinehart, recently.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Safford returned from a visit with friends of Omro.

Ed Vaughn has moved his family to Welcome, Wis.

Miss Ada Bruyette of Manawa spent a few days in town last week with her sister, Ida, returning Saturday.

Miss Ida Knutson went home last week to spend a few days with her sisters and brothers, who are confined with la crippe.

Fred W. Fisher of Manawa spent a few days visiting friends last week in our city.

Arthur Ernest is in Milwaukee this week, a delegate to the state convention of the Epworth League.

Mrs. Coffeen was taken very sick Wednesday, which will keep Rev. Coffeen from attendance at the Epworth League convention at Milwaukee.

Rev. Jaquith, who preaches at the Dopp neighborhood, and Miss Minnie Towne of Belmont are attending the Epworth League Convention.

Iola

Grant Lytle of Helvetia transacted business in our city Wednesday of last week.

F. C. Andrews and wife and Mrs. Carrie Mead transacted business in our city Wednesday of last week.

Isa Rice of Ogdensburg transacted business in Iola the first part of last week. Iola does not care for the business doers who have to borrow money to get out of town as well as for dinners and temperance (?) drink.

Mrs. C. Mead visited friends and relative in Waupaca last week.

Clarence Rowland is again able to attend his duties at J. and C. Wipf's mill after quite a sever attack of la grippe.

Mrs. H. P. Hatch and son, Rolla. transacted business in Scandinavia Saturday.

Buck Williams and T. Thompson put a tin roof on their "combination" building last week.. The old felt and tar roof was defective and was such an expense that it seemed necessary to put on the "only" roof. There are other roofs in town which should be treated likewise.

Mrs. O. Peterson is suffering at present with pneumonia.

W. H. Lacy has sold his farm, two mile north of town to Taylor Bros. and will move to California soon.

Mrs. Bradford supervisor of practice teaching in the Stevens Point Normal, visited in Iola last Friday and Saturday.

Miss Addie LaBar came down from the woods Saturday.

G. A. Gullickson visited in Scandinavia Sunday.

Earl Van Ornum and Albert Colien have gone to Shiocton to work.

Will Dent and Minor Bovee are at Big Falls this Week.

Stone is being hauled for the foundation on the office of the Little Wolf Lumber Company.

Al Rounds and Fred Dent came home from the woods Saturday.

Mrs. Wm. Cushman of New London visited at A. Shaw's last week.

Jas. Edward, State Sec'y of the International Sunday School work, will hold a convention at this place April 1.

Mrs. E. E. Russell of Symco is visiting friends hers.

Miss Addie Richards, who has been at Manawa for the last few months, came home last week to visit her parents.

Miss Mabel Wilson is visiting her parents here this week.

Mrs. John Patterson and Miss Carrie Sampson went to New London last Friday afternoon to do some shopping.

A. J. Moore called to Waupaca Monday as a witness on the Wilson case. Wilson being accused of stealing a ring at New London last spring.

Wm. Petit and H. Marks traded lots this last week.

Sam Patterson was at home over night with his parents one night last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Lyon spent Sunday at the home of Mrs. Lyon's parents at this place.
